Learning photography, love life

Many people like photography, and the elderly are no exception. During the fight against the epidemic, in order to satisfy the interests of the elderly, Hongye Cultural Association Recreation Home specially invited senior photographer Mr. Huang Shicheng to hold seven photography lectures for everyone.

In the cloud ZOOM class, Mr. Huang taught us the basics of photography using mobile phones and tablet computers: how to frame a picture, compose a picture, master exposure and tone, and also talked about how to retouch a picture to make his photography more perfect, which is very popular with everyone. .

Especially in the first four lectures on the topic of "post-processing of photos", the teacher left the students with appropriate homework every time after the class. Everyone used their brains and hands. In the specific practice of completing the homework, we have a preliminary grasp Some retouching skills and techniques. When you see the repaired photos appear in front of us, don't mention it! Someone said, “In the past, it’s good to be able to take photos of people and scenes. If you don’t know how to do it, you can modify it and turn waste into treasure. It’s amazing and fun.” The elderly have a sense of gain and accomplishment. I feel more passionate about learning photography. The teacher fully affirmed everyone's meticulous learning attitude. The works of Sun Hong, Ren Shujun, Weng Shifang, Deng Jiaming, Sun Minsong and others have been well received by teachers and students. When Teacher Huang opened his photo album, we were fortunate enough to see his dazzling collection of masterpieces, which was exhilarating, amazing and enviable! Let us broaden our horizons and improve our appreciation of photographic art.

In response to the strong request of everyone, Mr. Huang added three classes of "Landscape Photography", "Character Photography", and "Work Comment" for us. More and more people are online listening to classes; teachers are spending longer and longer lectures; people who hand in homework are more enthusiastic; good works are emerging in large numbers. From April 20th to June 1st, our photography lectures attracted more than 180 person-times, and the students were rewarded, reaching and surpassing the expected results, and a complete success!

Our teacher, Mr. Huang Shicheng, is the best. He is the Deputy Secretary-General of the Atlantic Photographers Association, the host and editor of the 500 px photography tribe of the Association, a former vice chairman of the North American Mobile Photography Association, a member of the Art Steering Committee and a photojournalist for the "Voice of Maple" magazine. Won the "Golden Maple Award" in the Mobile Photo Contest and the Pioneer Photographer Medal at the Toronto International Photography Festival. He loves life and is obsessed with photography. A dead tree, a mass of white snow, a forest, a small flower, a magnificent waterfall, an inconspicuous puddle, a light bulb, and a bird are all objects of capture. His works have a wide range of subjects, profound artistic conception, originality, and full of agility. This is what Huang has been working hard and earnestly persevering on the road of photography art for more than ten years! Teacher Huang is also a person who is good at thinking and expressing. After reading his twenty-six "diary" essays "Thinking about the Canadian Epidemic", I am even more in awe of such a photographer!

The so-called "time is quiet and good" is just a kind of pursuit, a kind of state of mind. Although the environment we live in is changing rapidly and sometimes even unsatisfactory, but "beauty is everywhere" should be discovered with people's eyes and praised with true feelings. Let us pick up the camera, take pictures of the best things in the world, and be a positive person who loves life. The photography class is over. Teacher Huang opened a window for us to communicate and answer questions, and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you Mr. Huang Shicheng for your hard work!
